The Recipes on Lowfat Weekly are adapted versions of our family's favorites, made with lower Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. These Recipes are Foods we love to eat, with everything from Pizza, Fettuccine with Alfredo Sauce to delicious Chocolate Chip- Chocolate Chunk-Nut Cookies ... with less guilt! The Recipes you find on Lowfat Weekly are not necessarily "Fat Free" They could have zero cholesterol and have some saturated fat, or have some cholesterol and zero saturated fat, But mainly less fat... They are some of our own Tried and True Recipes as well as many submitted recipes from our faithful viewers. Remember even if they are lower in fat and cholesterol, the recipes still have some fats, sugar and calories, so eat in moderation and practice portion control! My plan for cutting fat in the daily diet, is an idea that worked for my husband and myself, and is why Lowfat Weekly. COM was born. Please read our story at About Us. The main thrust of my plan is to eat the foods you love to eat... except adapting your recipes to a lower fat version! It is that simple. While adapting your recipes to lower fat, and by shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables, eating whole grains, and when shopping buying the foods you "normally" would in the fat free, reduced fat or light version and you'll want to incorporate exercise into the lot, and most importantly practice portion control! Besides possibly lowering your blood cholesterol levels, you may just get an added benefit...weight loss! This plan may not work for everyone and before starting any new weight- loss  program  or  exercise discuss it with your primary care physician. Make this a plan for life!™ not a fad...
